The knitting activity is considered at GAFFO as the activity par excellence which promotes the transfer of intergenerational experiences from our elders to our young girls. <\/strong><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

This activity is led by groups of elders who are driven by the desire to perpetuate this art of knitting.
And to break their isolation share their experiences by supervising our young girls.<\/p>

In addition to allowing our senior volunteers to feel useful in the community and break their isolation, this activity acts as a calming agent for many seniors who say they feel less nervous since they have something useful to occupy themselves with.<\/p>

This activity also greatly helps our new immigrant clients in the Scarborough area with mittens, scarves and toques.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
