Introduction to African percussion instruments

This course has been programmed for children, young people and adults who will be taught in groups of ten by qualified trainers. The trainer will introduce learners to the percussions of Central and West Africa through traditional rhythms that can be viewed on Youtube and much more, he / she will also add contemporary musical arrangements. In order not to burden the learning process for a young audience not yet introduced to modern music, the didactic method proposed by the teacher will be oral and without music theory. As in traditional Africa, students will learn through mimicry and repetition and mimicry. They will use easily accessible percussion instruments that will allow them to evolve and flourish in collective playing.
