Obesity in children, young girls and women

Understanding the origin, causes, consequences and strategies to combat obesity in the world and in Canada is the primary objective of this information session, which is intended to be practical for parents who are members of our community. The facilitator of this information session will first offer participants an overview of obesity on a planetary scale where research shows us that the number of cases of obesity has almost tripled. since 1975. Participants in this session will learn that it is possible to prevent and avoid obesity and will have answers to questions people in our community have. For example: What are overweight, overweight and obesity? Causes of overweight and obesity in children; Consequences of overweight and obesity; No diets for children! Tips for stabilizing the child's weight.
