For many young French-speaking immigrant girls and women, integration into Canadian society is a real challenge.
Indeed, the norms and values of the countries from which these people come are often different from those of Ontario. Whether it is clothing, keeping appointments on time, postures to observe when speaking to a person in an informal conversation, the way different genders interact etc., Immigrant women have a lot to learn to better integrate into Ontario society. And our organization with its network of volunteers is there to help them integrate into Ontario society. The GAFFO who has more than 20 years of experience in this field is often contacted by many members of our communities who experience difficulty integrating.
