Introduction to African tales, legends and myths

Come and discover the cultural riches of African tales, legends and myths. These three elements, often intertwined, serve to construct the scenes and dialogues in African plays. Participants in this course will learn to use African tales, legends and myths not only to write their own modern tales adapted to their situation in exile but also to write interesting dialogues. They will have the opportunity to make new philosophical reflections on the myths and traditional tales of their own cultures of the regions of Africa or the Caribbean from which they came. They will realize to what extent the Afro-Caribbean cultural heritage is an inexhaustible wealth even in this modern world.
