Immigrant women and access to justice

It is a known fact: the majority of Francophone immigrant women know very little or nothing about the Ontario justice system. This is why GAFFO offers, thanks to its volunteer legal experts, mini-conferences on immigrant women and access to justice. Thus, for example, new Canadian women who are victims of gender-based violence or domestic violence will learn, or rather will be informed through these conferences, what their rights are, who they can turn to for any legal aid, what the various decisions of the Court, their rights at work, harassment in the workplace, etc. It should be noted that this conference is one of the most requested by women members of GAFFO.
